Private Garden Green Wall
Tom Wolstenholme Garden Design push the boundaries of creativity to deliver architecturally designed gardens that their clients can connect with, reflecting their personality and lifestyle. They entrusted Bright Green to create a lush artificial backdrop for this stunning water feature that takes centre stage in this beautiful residential garden in Leamington.
The living wall that had originally been planted behind the water feature had failed meaning that a low maintenance artificial wall with its instant ability to transform the space into a green oasis was an integral part of the new design.
The artificial plant wall needed to work in harmony with the existing slick stainless steel water feature. Based on the brief our team created a sample of purple and grey foliage to compliment the silver panels of the water feature, for both the designer and their client to review and approve. Artificial bay, grey podocarpus, giant purple boxwood, buxus, green artemisia and feather fern trail were chosen to create an incredibly naturalistic wall that was UV stable and able to cope with whatever weather the seasons bring. The variety of fake foliage with its differing depths ensured there was movement and texture in the bespoke wall.
Working within a tight schedule we were delighted that we could complete the installation in time for the owner’s 70th birthday celebrations and ensure this artificial green wall would be the envy of all their friends and neighbours, not just for this celebration but for years to come.
