For the past year, sourcing large preserved palm leaves for our bespoke palm trees has been an ongoing challenge. The reason is the Red Palm Weevil — a tiny pest that’s caused huge problems by devastating palm plantations in key growing regions killing mature palm trees that have taken years to grow.
What are preserved palm leaves?
Preserved leaves are real palm fronds that have been treated with a natural glycerine solution to maintain their flexibility, colour, and natural look for years to come. They give our trees an incredibly authentic finish, perfect for interior spaces.
Unfortunately, the largest preserved palm leaves we previously used to create tall, statement palm trees are simply not available right now — and won’t be until younger trees mature.
However, we can currently source preserved palm leaves up to around 150cm in length, which allows us to build preserved palm trees up to approximately 4.5 metres high.
It’s not quite the scale we used to work with, but it still gives us a lot of creative freedom.

- Smaller bespoke preserved palm trees — up to 4.5 m high.
- Large palm trees made with high-quality artificial palm leaves — giving you the dramatic height and scale you want, without relying on preserved foliage.
We can also build stunning custom trees using other preserved or replica foliage to create the tropical style you’re after.
